摘　　要：20世纪80年代中后期,在杨生茂先生的主持下,几位中国学者尝试用中国人的文字、体系、构思以及立场和观点,为中国的大学生撰写了一本美国外交政策史的教科书。该书体现出杨生茂先生对美国历史及美国外交政策史的许多思考,诸如美国外交决策层的国家利益观问题、美国外交政策史的阶段划分问题、美国外交政策史的主线与特征问题、关于美国外交政策是内政的延续的看法,以及对美国强权政治的认识等,至今具有其学术价值和理论意义,对认知当今国际关系,尤其是中美关系仍具有启示性。During the mid-to-late of 1980 s,Professor Yang Shengmao led an initiative with other scholars from several influential Chinese universities in an attempt to write a textbook for college students regarding American Foreign Policy History in Chinese.This work primarily reflected the viewpoints,mentality and rationality of a Chinese perspective on the history of American foreign policy.The treatise contained many of Prof.Yang’s thoughts and views on American history and the history of American foreign policy,including classifications of foreign policy changes,the characterization of U.S.foreign policy,and the power politics as well as its impact on its foreign policy.Many of his perspectives and rationales in the book are especially inspiring given the contemporary uncertainty across the globe,and have sustained their academic and practical values significantly in scholarly discourse.
