从新发现文献再探罗明坚及其在华传教

摘　　要：罗明坚作为早期入华传教的耶稣会士之一,其事迹不仅为在华耶稣会士,也为欧洲的耶稣会士所知悉。本文利用各类档案资料,对意大利佛罗伦萨国家档案馆藏的一份与罗明坚有关的信件进行分析,展现当时的欧洲人是如何认识中国以及在华的传教事业的。本文分三个部分展开:首先对信件的写信人、收信人和罗明坚的关系进行梳理;其次对该文献的主要内容进行考证;最后则揭示出这一文献在16世纪、17世纪中西文化交流中的意义。As one of the earliest Jesuit missionaries living in China,Michele Ruggieri’s mission was well known not only to the Jesuits in China,but also to those in Europe.This paper,by making good use of documents in variant archives,attempts to analyze a letter newly found in Europe,with the aim to show how the Europeans perceived China and the Jesuit missions in China at that time.This paper is divided into three parts:firstly,it sorts out the relationships among the sender,the receiver and Michele Ruggieri;then it investigates the contents of the letter;and lastly,it highlights the significance of the document in the cultural exchanges of the 16th and 17th centuries.
