摘 要:为降低光载无线(RoF)通信系统复杂度并提高倍频系数,提出了一种基于偏振复用技术和级联马赫曾德尔调制器(MZM)的16倍频光载毫米波方案。推导了方案的毫米波产生机理,讨论了MZM消光比、射频驱动信号相移、偏振控制器方位角和线偏振器角度对光边带抑制比(OSSR)和射频杂散抑制比(RFSSR)的影响,在此基础上研究了基于本方案的RoF系统传输性能。结果表明通过合理控制参数偏移量,在保持较宽的偏移量最佳区间同时可以产生高性能的光载毫米波信号,其对应的最优OSSR和RFSSR分别为30 dB和22.6 dB。当误码率(RBE)为10-9时,传输40 km和背靠背传输相比功率代价为2.4 dB,相应的功率预算可达50 dB。该方案结构简单且性能高效,在整个系统中并未使用光滤波器等波长相关器件,可与现有WDM无源光网络兼容,同时该方案也为RoF系统设计提供了参考依据。In order to reduce the complexity of radio over fiber(RoF)system and improve the frequency multiplication factor,a new scheme to generate frequency 16-tupling millimeter-wave based on polarization multiplexing technology and cascaded Mach-Zehnder modulators(MZM)was proposed.The millimeter-wave generation mechanism was deduced,and the effects of MZM extinction ratio,RF driving signal phase shift,polarization controller(PC)azimuth and linear polarizer(Pol)angle on optical sideband suppression ratio(OSSR)and radio frequency sideband suppression ratio(RFSSR)were discussed.The performance of ROF system based on the proposed scheme was studied.The results show that the high performance millimeter-wave signal can be generated in a wide offset range by controlling the parameters offset reasonably,and the corresponding optimal OSSR and RFSSR are 30 dB and 22.6 dB respectively.The power penalty of 40 km transmission in optical fiber is 2.4 dB compared with back-to-back transmission at the bit error rate(RBE)of 10-9,and the corresponding optical power budget is 50 dB.The scheme is simple in structure and efficient in performance.The wavelength dependent devices such as optical filter are not used in the proposed system,which is compatible with the existing WDM passive optical network,and also provides reference for future ROF system design.
