摘 要:Currently,uranium monocarbide(UC)ceramic fuel has been considered as a candidate nuclear fuel for the 4th generation nuclear reactors,especially for the accelerator-driven systems(ADS)owing to several advantages,e:g:high melting point,dimensional stability under irradiation,good mechanical property,coupled with high fissionable material density and excellent thermal conductivity.Conventionally,UC is prepared by the carbothermal reduction of UO_(2) with solid carbon(reaction 1).But for the solid-state reaction method,a high temperature of around 1600℃ and a long production period are generally required,which significantly challenge the heating-resist of the experimental equipment.And it is difficult to mix the starting materials completely.
