摘　　要：民族音乐学的定义虽已是老生常谈,但仍富有研究意义和空间。文章从民族音乐学以往的众多定义中,归纳出典型性和代表性的五种类型加以梳理和评析,认为目前看来,民族音乐学是运用以人类学为主,包括音乐学在内的各种学科理论和方法,研究所有音乐的文化内涵的学科。根据该学科在音乐学或人类学等社会人文学科之间的主要归属,可将其细分为广义与狭义的民族音乐学,重申了民族音乐学与中国传统音乐研究是交叉关系。Although the definition of ethnomusicology is a bit of a cliché,it still leaves much space for further research.From the numerous previous definitions of ethnomusicology,five typical and representative types are categorized and analyzed.It is concluded that ethnomusicology is a subject that studies the cultural connotations of all music by using theories and methods from various subjects,including anthropology and musicology.The subject can be subdivided into broad and narrow ethnomusicology according to its main affiliation in social and humanistic subjects such as musicology and anthropology.And reiterated that the study of ethnomusicology and traditional Chinese music are intersecting relationships.
