反抗精神的时代寓言——从《大话西游》到《悟空传》

摘　　要：电影《大话西游》、网络小说《悟空传》和电影《悟空传》以不同的方式传递着原著《西游记》中的反抗精神,成为各自时代的“时代寓言”。《大话西游》的结局和原著无异,虽然经过穿越时空的爱情磨难,但孙悟空还是接受了既定命运,放弃了自我和爱情,无厘头的调笑中暗含着服从悲剧命运的无奈;小说《悟空传》对原著进行了颠覆和改写,甚至把唐僧的反抗精神提升到与孙悟空的毁灭同样的精神高度;而电影《悟空传》把网络小说中“天火毁灭一切”的绝望置换为绝地求生的希望,这种置换恰恰象征着近二十年间时代精神从“世纪末情绪”的迷茫到新世纪“希望与梦想精神”的一种流变。The movie A Chinese Odyssey to the West,the novel A Story of Sun Wukong(the Monkey King)and the movie A Story of Sun Wukong(the Monkey King)convey in their respective distinct ways the rebellious spirit in the original work A Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en and thus become the“epochal parable”of their respective era.For one thing,the ending of A Chinese Odyssey to the West is the same as the original novel,for despite the tribulation of love through time and space,the monkey king still accepted the fixed destiny and gave up his self and love,thus implying a sense of helplessness in his submission to the tragic fate in the absurd teasing.For another,the network novel A Story of Sun Wukong(the Monkey King)subverts and rewrites the original novel,and even elevates the monk Xuanzang’s rebellious spirit to the same spiritual height as the destruction of the monkey king.On the contrary,the movie A Story of Sun Wukong(the Monkey King)replaces the despair of“the heaven fire destroys everything”in the network novel with the hope of survival in a situation of despair,which exactly symbolizes the change of the zeitgeist from the confusion of“century-end sentiments”to the“spirit of hope and dream”in the new century over the past 20 years.
