列维纳斯“他者”视阈下的电影《返老还童》赏析

摘　　要：影片《返老还童》由美国作家菲茨杰拉德的同名短篇小说改编而成。影片沿袭了小说的传奇、科幻色彩,但对小说的主题、情节进行了大刀阔斧的改编。小说文本限于篇幅,只描述了主人公与家人间的相互关系,反映了亲情淡漠、爱情易逝,人生虚幻等幻灭主题。而影片除了演绎了几位主人公外,还融入了许多小人物的传奇人生,阐释了主人公历经艰难的伦理觉醒以及与他人相遇、互助的关系,主题也由此升华为信念、责任、爱的层面。这与列维纳斯的“走向他者”“为他者负责”的利他主义伦理不谋而合。The film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an adaptation of a short story by the American writer F.Scott Fitzgerald.The film followed the novel’s style of legend and science fiction,but it also made a bold adaptation of the theme and plot.Limited in length,the novel only describes the relationship between the hero and his family,reflecting the theme of disillusionment such as indifferent family,perishable love,and illusory life.The film not only portrays several protagonists,but also integrates the legendary lives of many small potatoes,expounding the hero’s difficult ethical awakening and the relationship of meeting and helping others,thus sublimating the theme into the level of faith,responsibility and love,which coincides with the altruistic ethics of Levinas,namely going to the Other and taking responsibility for the Other.
