基于语料库的英语描述类次述谓结构研究:局部语篇功能视角

摘　　要：英语描述类次述谓结构,用词经济,结构紧凑,言简意赅。对美国当代英语语料库中"不及物动词+形容词"类描述类次述谓结构的考察发现,该类次述谓结构在语篇中具有明显的句法、语篇特征与功能,在其语境中的选用既是语篇衔接连贯的需要,同时又为语篇的衔接连贯做出了贡献,具有承上启下的局部衔接功能,是所在语境的最佳选择,是特定语境中更恰当、更具特色和更具交际价值的表达形式。English depictive secondary predicates are concise and compact.An investigation of the depictive secondary predicates consisting of intransitive verb followed by adjectives in COCA shows that this type of depictive secondary predicates has obvious syntactic and discourse characteristics in the text.They are chosen to meet the need of textual cohesion and coherence,and at the same time they also contribute to such textural cohesion and coherence.They are the best choice of their contexts,and are more appropriate,distinctive and communicative expressions for its context.
