摘　　要：在民国的社会运动高潮中,留美博士们在美国学术背景下,综合利用中美两国的文献资料,运用政治学、社会学和历史学等研究方法对五四运动展开研究,分析其内在政治属性。作为海外五四运动研究的滥觞之作,作为第一批按照西方学术理念分析五四运动的著述,这些学术成果既是美国中国问题研究的重要组成部分,也是中国五四运动学术研究史上的重要内容,对于展现民国时期五四运动的研究全貌及探讨民国时期中美学术交流具有重要的价值。In the climax of the social movement in the Republic of China,in the American academic background,the doctors studying in the United States used the literature of China and the United States to use the research methods of politics,sociology and history to study the May Fourth Movement and analyze its internal political attributes.As the indiscriminate study of the overseas May 4th Movement,these academic achievements are the first products to analyze the May Fourth Movement in accordance with Western academic concepts.They are not only an important part of the study China in the United States,but also an important part of the academic research history of the May Fourth Movement in China.It is of great value to show the overall picture of the May Fourth Movement during the Republic of China and to explore the Sino-US academic exchanges during the Republic of China.
