摘　　要：考察陈垣先生何以能够取得卓越学术成就的一个新维度,就是深入分析他如何在时代推动下吸收新的智慧,不断开拓奋进。我们从其青年时期如何勤奋学习和矢志追求,从其既善于继承传统,又勇于超越,从其在抗战时期如何提倡并实践“有意义之史学”等方面,都能发掘出丰富的内涵,从而大大推进我们对这位史学大师何以成功地为新历史考证学创辟新境的认识。通过梳理和剖析陈垣先生学术风范的时代蕴涵,我们能够更加清楚地认识其留给后人的宝贵思想遗产——严谨求真精神、开拓创新精神和使命担当精神,从而激励我们奋发努力,不断把学术工作向前推进。A new dimension to investigate why Chen Yuan was able to have outstanding scholarly achieve⁃ments is to deeply analyze how he absorbed new thoughts and kept forging ahead driven by the times.We can find out rich values from his diligent study and persistent pursuit in his youth,his ability to inherit tradition and his courage to go beyond,and his promotion and practice of“meaningful historiography”during the Anti-Japa⁃nese War,which greatly promote our understanding of how such a master of historiography successfully created a new realm for the new historical textual research.By sorting out and analyzing the time values of Chen Yuan’s scholarly style,we can have a clearer understanding of his valuable ideological legacies left to future genera⁃tions:rigorous and truth-seeking spirit,pioneering and creative spirit,and mission-bearing spirit,which en⁃courage us to make great efforts to push forward our scholarly work.
