摘　　要：19世纪美国作家埃德加·爱伦·坡素以神秘、诡异的创作风格著称,其多部作品中出现了非自然叙述行为。文章从多叙、元叙述和现在时叙述三个方面考察坡作品中叙述行为的非自然特质,并试图挖掘非自然叙述行为背后的深刻内涵。坡以非自然叙事手法来揭示并回应时代危机,体现了其对人类命运的深切关怀。运用非自然叙事理论来解读坡的作品,有助于我们深入理解他所秉持的艺术理念,同时更为透彻地把握其作品所特有的人文意蕴和审美价值。Edgar Allan Poe,one of the most acclaimed American writers in the 19th century,is famous for his mysterious and eerie style.His works are imbued with unnatural acts of narration.This paper aims at elaborating on such unnatural acts of narration as paralepsis,metanarrative and present tense narration in Poe’s works and tries to divulge the profound connotations of those unnatural acts of narration.Poe has employed unnatural acts of narration to reveal and respond to the crises of his age,which is an indication of his deep concern about the fate of mankind.Interpreting Poe’s works from the perspective of unnatural narratoloty can not only deepen our understanding of his aesthetic theory,but also facilitate our grasp of the athestic values as well as the profound implications in his writings.
