摘 要:本研究在动态系统理论视阈下,历时19个月跟踪考察了中国高校4名不同水平英语学习者的句式发展。质性分析结果显示,4名学习者的英语句式发展存在明显不同。初级学习者的书面语句式出现阶段性发展;中低级学习者在复合句的复杂性、被动句的准确性方面取得进步,并且使用了主题突出句;中高级学习者口语中出现非目的语形式,主题突出句增多;高级学习者的长句逻辑性增强。研究进而讨论了二语句式的发展模式和发展顺序,并提出了二语句式发展连续统假设。With four Chinese university EFL learners of different language proficiency levels as the subjects, this 19-month longitudinal study investigates the development of English sentence patterns from the Dynamic Systems Theory perspective. The qualitative analysis shows that English sentence patterns of the learners developed in different ways. The sentence patterns in the beginning learner’s written language demonstrated staged development. The lower-intermediate learner made some progress in the complexity in nominal clauses and accuracy in passive voiced sentences, and used some topic-prominent sentences. In the upper-intermediate learner’s oral data, nontarget-like sentence structures emerged, and the number of topic-prominent sentences increased. The advanced learner’s sentence use improved in that long sentences became more logical as time went on. The study further discusses the developmental patterns and sequence of L2 sentence patterns, and proposes a developmental continuum of L2 sentence patterns.
