The influence of diatomite and compound with nano-scale molybdenum disulfide(nano-MoS 2)on friction and wear properties of fluorine rubber(FKM)was investigated by means of infrared spectrometer,rotor-less vulcanizer,ring-block type tribo-test machine, electron&optical microscopes and so on.The results indicate that the friction coefficient and wear volume of FKM vulcanized rubber decrease with the increase of the content of modified diatomite. When the content of modified diatomite reaches 45 phr,the vulcanized rubber shows better friction and wear performance. On this base,1 phr nano-MoS2 is added into fluorine rubber/diatomite composite, the vulcanized rubber has the lowest friction coefficient and volume wear, which are 0.4 and 1.42 mm^3,decreases 16.7%and 63.6%,respectively.Scanning electron microscope(SEM)analysis indicates that the addition of modified diatomite effectively inhibites the adhesive wear of fluorine rubber.Appropriate amount of diatomite and nano-MoS2 together modified fluorine rubber shows slight abrasive wear characteristics. The worn surface is flat and smooth, and its transfer film is uniform.
