摘 要:本文从美国大学校名雷同甚至撞名的现象入手,梳理了美国大学校名的命名原则和改名历史,提出了大学校名命名和改名组织依据。研究采取内容分析法,选择代表性的美国大学399强排名为样本,从语义学角度分析美国大学的名称。依托资源基础观、五力模型、管理幅度、人岗匹配模型等组织理论,运用三阶段编码分别归纳了美国大学雷同、撞名现象的背后成因,共分8类情况。研究发现:美国大学的校名有内在组织能力的内在支撑,这一逻辑符合“资源基础观”的理念;“五力模型”可以帮助大学对标同类高校,寻找到合适的命名思路和发展方向;“管理幅度”有助于大学和主管单位运坚定办学理念,坚持办学目的;“人岗匹配模型”有利于大学去选择与自身能力、特色、历史相符的校名,与其办学水平更加契合。最后,研究还对管理部门、高校和考生等相关方提出针对性的意见和建议。This paper starts with the phenomenon that American university names are similar or even collided,combs the naming principles and history of American university names,and proposes the basis for the name and organization of university names.The research adopts content analysis method,selects the representative top 399 American universities as samples,and analyzes the names of American universities from the perspective of semantics.Relying on organizational theories such as the Resource-based View,the Five Forces Model,the Span of Management,and the Person-Position Fit Model,the three-stage coding was used to summarize the causes behind the phenomenon of similarities and collisions among American universities,which are divided into eight categories.The study found that the name of the American university must be internally supported by its internal organizational capabilities.This logic is consistent with the concept of Resource-based View;the Five Forces Model can help universities target similar universities and find suitable naming ideas and development.Direction;the Span of Management helps universities and competent units to operate a firm philosophy and adhere to the purpose of running a school;the Person-Position Fit Model is conducive to the university to choose a school name that is consistent with its own capabilities,characteristics,and history,and is more in line with its school level.Finally,the research also provides targeted opinions and suggestions to relevant parties such as management departments,universities and candidates.
