摘 要:婆罗门教东传的时间很早,甚至在东汉以前就已经传入我国了。但是,婆罗门教的思想观念、行为方式、异域文化特色有悖于以儒家为正统思想的古代统治阶级的旨意,一般不受统治阶级重视。尽管如此,婆罗门教始终没有放弃在中国传播的诉求。南北朝时期,一些沙门僧人宣扬法术,作歹为非,甚至威胁社会安全和政治统治。这与佛教的意旨有很大的不同,显示我国古代的沙门中含有婆罗门教的因子。Brahmanism was introduced to China very early,even before the Eastern Han Dynasty.However,Brahmanism's ideological concept,behavioral mode and foreign cultural characteristics are contrary to the ancient ruling class's intention of taking Confucianism as the orthodox thought,and are generally not valued by the ruling class.Nevertheless,Brahmanism has never abandoned its appeal for dissemination in China.During the Northern and Southern Dynasties,some Sha Men preached spells,committing crimes,and even threatened social security and political rule.This is quite different from Buddhism's purpose.Probably these Sha Men are not Buddhists,but Brahmans.The ancient Sha Men in China contained Brahmanism.
