Newspaper Articles and Bachelor’s Theses: Exploration into the Early Research Documents on the Life Weekly (1925-1933)

摘　　要：本文回顾了《生活》周刊研究历史上被忽视的两类早期文献:其一是刊登在民国时期报刊上带有研究性质的评述文章,其二是1950年燕京大学新闻学学士论文。它们的学术价值在于:民国报刊文章提供了《生活》周刊研究的早期议题,如最早论述了当代"邹韬奋研究"中著名的"九一八转变论"以及《生活》周刊的成功之道,"读者信箱"栏目中的编读关系等,提供了洞见和史料;燕京大学的学士论文则是最早系统研究《生活》周刊的文献,建构了新闻传播学式的基本分析框架,并提供了宝贵的研究信息,堪称"开山之作"。The paper reviews two kinds of early documents that are neglected in the research history of the Life weekly: research-based commentaries published in the newspapers in the Republic of China period and the theses of bachelors in journalism of Yenching University in 1950. They are academically valuable in that: newspaper articles in the Republic of China period provided the topics for early research on the Life weekly, e.g. the earliest discussion of the "theory of transformation after the Mukden Incident" which is well-known in the modern "studies of Zou Taofen" and of the secret behind the success of the Life weekly, while the articles on editor-reader relations, among others, in the "Letters from Readers" column offered insights and historic data;bachelor’s theses of Yenching University were the earliest documents to study the Life weekly in a systematic way by structuring the basic analysis framework in the fashion of journalism and communication and providing precious research information.
