摘 要:周方是民国时期湖南的平民教育家。由于受近代乡村教育衰落的影响、平民教育运动的鼓舞和教育救国思想的熏陶,周方把目光投向农村,把农民作为平民教育的对象。他提出对农民进行实用技术教育、爱国主义教育和乡村建设教育等。周方的农村教育思想内涵丰富,具有重要借鉴价值。他的农村教育思想启示我们:农村教育要教给农民一技之长,对农民进行爱国教育和农村建设教育。Zhou Fang was a mass educator during the period of the Republic of China in Hunan province.Due to the decline of rural education,the inspiration of the mass education movement and the influence of education salvation in modern times,Zhou Fang paid more attention to the countryside district and put the object of mass education on peasants.He proposed to implement vocational education,patriotic education and rural construction education on peasants.Zhou Fang’s thought of rural education embodies abundant and profound connotation and is of important reference value for today’s rural education.His thought of rural education gives us revelations that rural education should be carried out to teach peasants skills,patriotic spirit and rural construction.
