摘　　要：小亨利·路易斯·盖茨的喻指理论既立足于黑人土语传统,又借鉴西方主流理论。他重新命名了西方主流批评原则,创立非裔文学批评理论并运用于批评实践,打破了非裔文学无理论的偏见。命名是一种授权行为,体现了对具有非裔特点的元素进行赋权的意识。喻指理论采用重命名的方式修正当代理论,与其说是对西方传统的防御手段,不如说是对它的依赖策略,体现了源自西方传统的"影响的焦虑"。While deeply rooted in the black vernacular tradition,Henry Louis Gates,Jr.borrows some elements from the western theory to construct his theory of signification.By renaming principles of western criticism,he creates African American literary theory and applies it to critical practices,breaking the prejudice against African American literary theory.Naming is a kind of authorization behavior,which reflects the deliberation to empower elements with African American characteristics.It is not so much a defense against the western tradition as a strategy of dependence on it,which reflects the anxiety of the influence of western tradition.
