摘　　要：在巴黎一座美丽的小岛上,一场食物变革正在进行。事实上,巴黎产生的30%的垃圾都是有机垃圾。所以人们决定把这种非常珍贵的有机物质变成堆肥。来自餐馆和酒店的食物垃圾将变成堆肥,随后被卖给农民。这样做对环境有益,因为食物垃圾被填埋后会释放出大量甲烷,这是一种会使地球升温的温室气体。但是,将垃圾进行堆肥处理,产生的甲烷就少多了。On a wonderful island in Paris,a food revolution(革命)is underway.In fact,30%of the waste produced within Paris was actually organic(有机的)waste.So,people decided to take this organic matter(物质),which is very precious,to turn it into compost(堆肥).The food waste from restaurants and hotels is turning into compost.Then compost is sold to farmers.This is good for the environment,because when food waste ends up in landfill(垃圾填埋地),it releases a lot of methane(甲烷),a greenhouse gas that warms up the earth.However,composting the waste can produce much less methane.
