摘　　要：现代性语境在诸多建筑历史与理论写作中总是被高度概括甚至一笔带过,而在社科文献中又过于复杂化且难以理解。如何为建筑学背景的硕博生提供一个概要理解现代性的可感知路径,是这个写作的主要目的。本文通过借用本雅明的“辩证意象”思想,以“例子”作为方法,以“现代性就是……”作为句式,通过五组常见概念范畴的组织——时间与空间、个人与社会、经济与政治、生产与消费、技术与文化,并置与展演那些充满矛盾张力的现代性现象碎片,分析并总结那些相互关联的现代性历史基因与逻辑机制。本文试图为进一步深入讨论“现代性与建筑”议题,提供一个必要的前期话语基础。The context of modernity is commonly oversimplified in many architectural history and theoretical writings,while it is again overwhelmingly complicated and difficult to comprehend in the social science literature.To provide a perceivable path for master and PH.D students with architecture background to understand modernity is the main purpose of this writing.This article borrows the idea of Benjamin’s"dialectic image",uses"examples"as a method,"modernity is..."as a pattern,through organizing the five common conceptual categories—time verses space,individual verses society,economy verses politics,production verses consumption and technology verses culture,juxtaposes and displays the fragments of modernity phenomenon full of contradictory strength,analyzes and summarizes those Interrelated historical genes and logical mechanisms of modernity.This article attempts to provide a necessary pre-discourse basis for further in-depth discussion on the topic of"modernity and architecture".
