摘 要:为进一步提高长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)的折射率灵敏度,制作了改性纳米二氧化钛粒子(TiO2)修饰LPFG的传感器。利用TiO2表面水解后产生的羟基与聚丙烯酸上的羧基结合实现对其表面进行改性,通过共价键结合方式将改性后纳米TiO2粒子固定在光栅表面构成TiO2-LPFG传感器。实验研究了该传感器对折射率和温度响应特性。结果表明,随着折射率增加,TiO2-LPFG谐振波长向短波方向迁移。在1.3333-1.4428折射率范围内,其谐振波长平均灵敏度为45nm/RIU,较裸光栅平均灵敏度提高到1.2倍;在温度30-70℃范围内的灵敏度为-0.0503nm/℃,远低于折射率灵敏度。该传感器制作成本低廉,方法简单,且其表面存在丰富的含氧官能团,在化工、生物 、医学等领域具有较好的应用价值。In order to further improve the refractive index sensitivity of long period fiber grating(LPFG),a LPFG-based sensor modified with nano titanium dioxide(TiO2) particles is fabricated.The response of sensor to external refractive index and temperature change are investigated experimentally.The hydroxyl group produced by hydrolysis of TiO2 surface was combined with carboxyl group on polyacrylic acid to achieve the modification of TiO2.The LPFG-based sensor modified with nano TiO2 particles on the fiber surface is formed by covalent bonding.The response characteristics of the sensor to refractive index and temperature are studied experimentally.The results show that the resonant wavelength of TiO2-LPFG move to shorter wavelength with the increase of refractive index.The average refractive index sensitivity of TiO2-LPFG is 45 nm/RIU in the refractive index range of 1.333 1-1.448 5,which is 1.2 times higher than that of bare grating;and the temperature sensitivity of the sensor is -0.050 3 nm/℃,which is far lower than the refractive index sensitivity.The proposed sensor has an advantage of low cost and easy to manufacture.Additionally, the enriched oxygen-containing functional groups are fixed on the surface of the sensor, making it has a wide application in the fields of biological and medical.
