中美大学毕业典礼演讲语篇源示互文性比较分析

摘  要:为考察语篇源示互文性及其语用功能,分析中美演讲语篇源示互文性的异同与揭示其差异背后的价值观和意识形态,综合定性和定量研究方法,对中美大学毕业典礼演讲语篇进行比较分析显现:中美毕业典礼演讲语篇皆用到引语和引例源示互文修辞手段,二者都引入第三者,既能消除受众潜在的对立情绪,打开话语通道,又能增强话语的行事语力。与美方语篇中的引语相比,中方语篇中具有引语数量多、来源广、政治性强、严谨度弱等特点。中方语篇中的引例数量多但种类少,多是“自家人”事件,注重情感沟通,而美方语篇中的引例数量少但种类多,更倾向客观事实,侧重理性论证。To examine the sourced intertextuality of a text and its pragmatic functions,to analyze the similarities and differences of the Sino-U.S.speech textual intertextuality and to disclose the values and ideologies governing the application of intertextuality,this research,with an integration of qualitative and quantitative approaches,analyzes comparatively sourced intertextuality present in the Sino-U.S.university commencement speech texts,finding that both Chinese and American texts witness two types of intertextuality:quotation and case;in communication,both,introducing a third party,can not only eliminate the potential antagonism of the audience and open discourse channels,but also enhance the illocutionary force of speech;compared with those in American texts,the quotations in Chinese texts are large in number,wide in source,strong in political nature and lacking in rigor;the cases in Chinese texts,many in number yet few in kind,are mostly concerned with"family member"events for paying attention to emotional construction,whereas those in American texts,few in number but many in kind,tend to be objective facts,focusing on rational argument.
