“恣意”从述宾短语到情状副词的演变及成因

摘　　要："恣意"是现代汉语中使用频率较高的情状副词,意思是"任意(做某事)"。情状副词"恣意"在东汉时期就已经出现,那时它是一个动宾短语。于隋唐时期,动宾短语"恣意"随着语境拓宽,语义表达和句法功能发生多向演变,且在这一时期动宾短语"恣意"表现出副词化的倾向。最迟于明朝时期,动宾短语"恣意"语法化为情状副词,义为"任意地(做某事)"。在"恣意"词汇化过程中,语义因素、句法位置、认知组块机制起到了重要作用。In modern Chinese,Ziyi is a relatively frequent adverb of emotion,meaning arbitrarily(do something).The modal-situation adverb Ziyi has appeared in the Eastern Han dynasty,when it was a verb-object phrase.In the Sui and Tang dynasties,the verb-object phrase Ziyi has evolved in many ways in its semantic expression and syntactic function,and during this period,it showed an adverbial tendency.At the latest,during the Ming dynasty,the modal-situation verb Ziyi was grammatically converted into an adverb of emotion,meaning arbitrarily(do something).In the process of lexical evolution of verb-object Ziyi,semantic factors,syntactic positions,and cognitive chunking mechanisms play an important role.
