摘　　要：《梅丽迪安》是艾丽斯·沃克发表于《紫色》之前的优秀长篇小说,一直被评论界认为是女性成长小说的经典之作,实际上,这也是一部关于历史书写的经典之作,它不仅再现了奴隶制时期黑人奴隶的真实生存状态、20世纪60年代民权运动的真实历史事件,而且也书写了普通人物梅丽迪安在性别、种族等多重权力话语下自我形塑的活动史和心灵史,作者以文本的形式参与了历史的创造。Meridian, an excellent novel published before The Color Purple, is considered as the classical work of Bildungsroman. However, this paper regards it as the typical work of historical writing. It not only reproduces the true existing condition of slaves in the era of slavery and true historical events of Civil Rights Movement in the 1960 s, but also represents the trivial character -Meridian’ s psychological and activating history of self-fashioning under the multiple discourses of gender and race, which creates history in the form of text.
