摘 要:我国的英语专业教学大纲和多年的外语教学研究与实践已促成小范围内的"复语"教学模式,但尚未形成共识。面对我国当前高等教育明确提出的国际化需求,对照国外高校外语教育发展,本文通过分析国内经济社会的发展水平与市场需求、国内英语基础教育和英语专业自身的发展水平、英语专业的学科现状与新的规划得出,我国英语专业可进入复语人才培养时代。这不仅能够积极地体现出办学的国际化,而且具有明确的现实性与学科意义。当前教改应积极倡导这一重要的办学模式,这一模式将在改观英语专业教学面临的困境和同质化问题等方面具有积极的作用。National English major syllabus and long-time foreign language teaching and research in China have facilitated the practice of"bi-foreign language"teaching model on a restricted scale,though without much consensus.Faced with our country’s current request for internationalizing higher education,compared with the development of foreign language higher education abroad,together with analyses of domestic economical social development and market demand,of domestic elementary English education,of the development of English major itself,and of the current English undergraduate education as well as the planning for its development,we find that implementing a bi-foreign language program for English major education in higher institutions in China is what it is called for,which can not only immediately enhance internationalization,but also has strong feasibility and disciplinary significance and which deserves to be advocated as a model of reform to the current situation and will effectively lead to changed situation to the dilemma and homogenization that English major is now faced with.
