Objective To summarize the characteristics of ultrasound images of neonatal adrenal neuroblastoma, improve the accuracy of ultrasound diagnosis. Methods A retrospective analysis of ultrasound features of 46 cases of neonatal adrenal neuroblastoma, which confirmed by pathology in our hospital. Results There are 44 cases(95.7%) were located in unilateral adrenal gland(19 cases on the left and 25 cases on the right), and 2 cases in bilateral adrenal gland. Calcification was found in 10 cases(21.7%). The maximum diameter of tumor is 2.4-8.4 cm, and all of them did not surround the retroperitoneal vessels. In this group, 33 cases were in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ, and 13 cases(28.3%) were in stage ⅣS(with liver metastasis). 29 cases of abdominal mass detected by prenatal ultrasound. Conclusions Most of Neonatal adrenal neuroblastoma are solid and a few are cystic. It belongs to stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ or ⅣS, with a good prognosis. As a non-radiation examination, ultrasound can not only be used for preoperative diagnosis, monitoring and postoperative follow-up, but also can offered help for prenatal consultation.
