摘 要:文章基于复杂理论,对65名中高水平英语学习者一学年间12次不同任务复杂度条件下的产出语料进行相关性统计分析,考察任务复杂度与二语写作表现的关系及其动态变化。结果表明:1)任务复杂度总体与句法复杂度、文本流利度和准确度呈弱正相关,与词汇复杂度呈弱负相关,部分支持“认知假设”;2)相关性呈由负到正趋势,出现由“竞争假设”向“认知假设”的转变。文章从复杂理论切入,指出任务复杂度与二语写作表现关系的转变是二语写作复杂系统的自适应过程,揭示了“竞争假设”和“认知假设”间的动态联系。This study conducts a statistical correlation analysis of the corpus produced by 65 medium-to-high level English learners in L2 writing tasks with different task complexity in a school year based on the complexity theory,aiming to investigate the correlation between task complexity and second language writing performance and its changes over time.The results show that:1)task complexity is weakly positively correlated with syntactic complexity,text fluency and accuracy,and weakly negatively correlated with lexical complexity,partially supporting the cognition hypothesis;2)the correlation shows a trend from negative to positive,and changes from trade-off hypothesis to cognition hypothesis.The results show that a transition of the correlation between task complexity and second language writing performance is the self-adaptive process of the second language writing complex system based on complexity theory.The dynamic correlations between trade-off hypothesis and cognition hypothesis are further discussed.
