北京社会实进会:青年学生社团与社会学知识引进

摘　　要：作为中国最早的社会学社团,北京社会实进会的历史贡献尚缺乏进一步的研究。本文在搜集相关档案、报刊文章和相关成员的回忆录、传记等资料的基础上,以新文化运动前后北京社会实进会的活动变化为中心进行分析,发现该组织最初是社会服务和改良性质的学生社团,新文化运动之后则发生思想转型,大力引介社会学知识,以作为社会改造的知识基础。社会学知识的引进是中国近代以来思想文化与制度转型的重要环节,其中青年学生群体的引介、传播功不可没。对北京社会实进会的案例分析,有助于深化对社会学中国化的历史进程与内涵的认识。As the earliest sociological society in China, the historical contribution of Peking Student’Social Service Club(PSSSC) is understudied. By analyzing relevant archives, newspaper articles, memoirs and biographies of relevant members, this paper investigates PSSSC’s activities and changes before and after the New Culture Movement. We find the PSSSC existed firstly as a student society aiming at serving and reforming Chinese society;however, after the New Culture Movement, the PSSSC experienced an ideological transformation and started to introduce sociological knowledge for the goal of social reconstruction. The PSSSC’s introduction of modern sociological knowledge to China was an important step of modern China’s cultural and institutional transformations.Specifically, young students contributed greatly in bridging the cultures and introducing the knowledge. Studying the PSSSC helped us to understand the process and meanings of the localization of sociological knowledge in modern China.
