人际关系理论视域下埃德娜的多重人格探因

摘　　要：《觉醒》是凯特·肖邦于1899年发表的一部作品。该作品从备受争议到成为经典历经了漫长的过程,其原因在于女主人公埃德娜为实现自我价值而抛弃家庭的行为违背了社会传统道德。沙利文的人际关系理论说明环境对人格具有一定塑造作用,非正常的家庭关系与巨大的社会压力是造成人格缺陷的原因并导致极端行为发生。这一理论为研究埃德娜的叛逆行为提供了新的视角。The Awakening was published by Kate Chopin in 1899,which has gone through a long process from controversy to classic.The reason for this result is that the heroine Edna’s behavior of abandoning her family to realize her self-worth violates the traditional morality of society.Inter-personal relations theory by Sullivan pointed that environment plays a role in shaping personality.Abnormal family relations and huge social pressure are the causes of personality defects and lead to extreme behaviors.This theory provides a new perspective for studying Edna’s rebellious behavior.
