The incidence of diabetes is increasing all over the world, and the death rate from complications such as diabetic nephrotic syndrome and diabetic cardiomyopathy is also increasing.Pattern recognition receptor(PRRs)can activate innate immune response, eliminate related pathogens and maintain body homeostasis, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of diabetes.PRRs family members mainly include TOLL like receptors(TLRs),NOD like receptors(NLRPs),Aim2-like receptors(ALRs),STING and RIG-I like receptors(RLRs),among which TLRs,ALRs,STING and RLRs mainly recognize nucleic acids(DNA or RNA).A series of studies have shown that PRRs of nucleic acid identification can regulate the occurrence and development of diabetes and its complications in different ways. These findings suggest that the regulation of PRRs of nucleic acid identification and its signaling pathway can provide ideas and theoretical basis for the prevention, treatment and prognosis of diabetes.
