摘　　要：喜饶嘉措大师是一位伟大的爱国主义者、社会活动家,是我国佛教界一位卓越的领导人。他为反对西藏上层反动集团的分裂活动,维护祖国统一和领土完整,加强民族团结,继承和弘扬佛教优良传统,保护和发展民族文化事业,贡献了毕生精力。Master Shes-rab-rgya-mtsho is a great patriot,a social activist,and an outstanding leader of the Buddhist circle in China.He devoted all his life to fighting against the separatist activities of the reactionary cliques in the upper class of Tibet,safeguarding the reunification and territorial integrity of the motherland,strengthening ethnic unity,inheriting and carrying forward the fine Buddhist tradition,and protecting and developing ethnic culture.
