Objective Discuss the effect of applying six sigma method on reducing defects in the high-risk drug distribution process. Methods Data from June to December 2018 were selected as the control group, and a total of 300 cases were randomly sampled.Conventional management method was used in this stage. The designed Six Sigma method was implemented for management from January to June 2019 were selected as the study group, and a total of 300 cases were randomly sampled.Compared the satisfaction level of the staff in the hospital pharmacy department in the two time periods. Results The total number of delivery defect events in the study group was significantly less than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the satisfaction score of the staff in the pharmacy department of the study group was(91.6±2.1)points,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(76.9±3.2)points,the difference was statistically significant(t=19.648,P<0.05).Conclusion Six sigma method is applied to the management of high-risk drug distribution process, which can effectively reduce the defect rate in drug distribution and improve customer satisfaction.
