摘　　要：如果说公元1398年(明洪武三十一年春)朱元璋批准在烟台设奇山守御千户所并修建所城,是烟台建城之初的话,那么,l861年被迫开埠,则是烟台近代史的重要开端。烟台开埠后,纷至沓来的洋人一眼相中了烟台山、海岸路一带的风水宝地,竞相在这一带建设使领馆、住宅区。洋人来了,需要吃喝拉撒,需要开办洋务,于是,一条为洋人洋务及买办服务的街区便应运而生。1872年(清同治十一年),沿烟台山东麓向南延伸,开始修建一条街,因这条街的走向正南正北,故名朝阳街。Strolling on the small street hundreds of meters long and ten plus meters wide,you seem to enter a historical corridor of the modern history of China.Many struggling histories of adventurers were recorded inside the small and narrow gates;many stories of separations and reunions took place behind the mottled windows;many footprints of strugglers were left on the steps of smooth stairs.
