《热铁皮屋顶上的猫》中的尼采式悲剧观解读

摘　　要：《热铁皮屋顶上的猫》描写了波利特家庭在密西西比种植园一天的生活。该剧可被看作是一个所有家庭成员都生活在谎言中的悲剧。自1955年出版后,关于该剧同性恋的主题评论界一直争论不休。然而,很少有人注意到这部剧中隐含的尼采悲剧观。基于尼采悲剧观,解读剧中人物的日神精神或(和)酒神精神,使读者能够更好地理解田纳西·威廉姆斯的写作技巧和写作意图。Cat on a Hot Tin Roof depicts one day in the life of the Pollitt family in the Mississippi plantation and can be considered as a tragedy that all family members live with mendacity.After the publication of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 1955,critical debates raged over the homosexual theme of this play.However,few have noticed that this play is actually infused with the tragic vision of Nietzsche.Based on Nietzschean tragic vision,this thesis argues that the characters in this play have the Apollonian spirit or(and)the Dionysian spirit.It is hoped that such writing techniques and writing intention of Tennessee Williams can be understood better through the analysis of the characters in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
