摘 要:古徐国与徐偃王故事是探知古史时代徐州地域文化的重要依据。在复杂的文化语境下,记载古徐国与徐偃王故事的文献呈现“层累”衍生的状态。《尚书》《诗经》《左传》载录徐伯立国及偃王失国,《管子》《韩非子》《尸子》等诸子之书,演绎出更为丰富的徐偃王形象。“仁义失国”“夷吾问徐伯”等故事经由历史流入诸子论说,意涵指向有所不同:以法家为代表的实用主义者,认为徐偃王的仁义不切实用;“泗水捞鼎”故事在徐州地区流行,则体现仁义精神深入地域文化之肌理。徐偃王行仁义是古徐国地缘政治的选择,也铸就了古徐国文化内蕴之核心。The stories of the ancient Xu Kingdom and King Xu Yan are important basis for exploring the local culture of ancient Xuzhou.In the complex cultural context,the literature that recorded those stories had been accumulated gradually in some classics.The Book of History,Book of Songs and Zuo Commentary recorded Xu Bo's founding and King Yan's loss of Xu Kingdom,and Guan Zi,Han FeiZi and Shi Zi,depicted a more abundant image of King Xu Yan.Due to the introductions of various scholars through history,the stories such as"Lost the Country for Benevolence and Righteousness"and"Yi Wu Inquiring Xu Bo"have been presented with different implications.Some pragmatists,represented by the legalists,believed that King Xu Yan's benevolence and righteousness were not practically used.But the story of"Salvage of Tripod in Sishui River"popularly spread in Xuzhou area just reflected that the spirit of benevolence and righteousness had been planted in-depth into the local culture.King Xu Yan's benevolence and righteousness was not only the geopolitical choice of the ancient Xu Kingdom,but also the core of its cultural connotation.
