美军荣誉与移民同化:美军《星条旗》报网站人物报道专题网页多模态批评话语分析

摘　　要：科技的发展带动了媒介的融合,美军借力探索运用符号资源的新模式来传播其意识形态,构建多方关系。本文采用基于系统功能语言学理论,由伊米莉亚·乔诺夫和约翰·诺克斯(Djonov&Knox,2014)提出的社会符号学框架下的多模态网页分析方法对美军《英雄2016》人物报道专题网页从网页整体、图片和文字等多个层面进行多模态批评话语分析。本文发现美军专题网站一方面在建构读者对于美军荣誉感等价值观的认同感的同时,也流露出美军自身对于处理与阿富汗战争中因帮助美军而不得不移民至美国的人员关系的迷茫,以及这些移民人员在美军文化中对于自身身份认同感的缺失。This article is a multimodal discourse analysis of the themed report webpage Heroes 2016 of United States military news agency Stars and Stripes.Based on the systemic functional grammar of language and visual grammar,and the MDA framework proposed by Djonov and Knox(2014),the grammar pattern in the webpage layout,pictures adopted on the webpage and texts of the report are identified.While showing the effectiveness in construing the relationship between the targeted viewers and the heroes advertised by the institution,the multimodal discourse analysis of these resources employed by the webpage also indicates the U.S.military's uncertainty in handling the immigrants from Afghanistan who helped them in the battlefield and the Afghanistan immigrants'lack of sense of identity in the American military society.
