摘  要:无机多聚磷酸盐(inorganic polyphoshpate,polyP)是由磷酸根通过高能磷酸键连接而成的线状聚合物[1]。在生物出现之前polyP就已经存在于地球。在早期地球的高压和干燥环境中能产生polyP,比如在类似地球早期环境的火山口存在polyP。polyP的广泛存在表明其在生物的起源和生存方面起到非常关键的作用[2]。polyP在细菌中起到多种作用,如细菌的运动性、生物膜形成、毒性和压力抗性等[3]。Inorganic polyphosphate(polyP),an extremely simple polyanion,is linear polymers of 3 to over 1 000 inorganic phosphate residues linked together by ATP-like high-energy phosphate bonds,and is involved in a wide range of biological processes. This paper reviews the protective role of polyP in neurodegenerative diseases,including the role as a cytoprotective agent in the formation of amyloid β-protein(Aβ),the recovery of Aβ-induced reduction of ATP level,the influence of Aβ-induced mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening,and the function of nerve signal transduction. The possible mechanisms by which polyP acts as cytoprotective agent for neurodegenerative diseases,as well as the possibility of polyP as a potential drug for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases are also discussed,thus providing a new understanding for the development of new treatment strategy of Aβ-related diseases.
