任碧莲小说《世界与小镇》的全球伦理视域

摘　　要：进入20世纪以来,在经济全球化所带来的各民族文化的交流与碰撞中,文化同质化与文化多样性的博弈无时无刻不在进行之中。2001年美国"9·11"事件进一步引发了人们对世界范围内不同宗教与文明之间深刻冲突的思考。美国华裔作家任碧莲在其2010年发表的小说《世界与小镇》中,以虚构的河湖小镇作为透视美国社会的棱镜,通过描述一个美国小镇上不同族裔、文化背景及宗教信仰的人们情感纠葛及生活变迁,揭示出美国社会多元文化语境下存在的文化伦理困惑以及文化伦理绝对论的危害性,并以全球伦理的视域为解决当下人们所关注的不同文明及文化群体和谐共存问题给予积极的启示。Conflicts between cultural homogeneity and variety have ceaselessly been going on in the cultural exchange and collision of various nations,brought on by the economic globalization,since the beginning of the twentieth century.The 9.11 Incident in America in 2001 further induced thinking on the profound conflicts between various religions and civilizations across the world.In her novel,World and Town,published in 2010,Gish Jen,a Chinese-American writer,creates a lake town as a prism through which to view American society.In her description of the emotional entanglements and life transformation of people from different ethnic,cultural and religious backgrounds in a small American town,she reveals the cultural,ethical puzzlements in the context of a multicultural America and the danger of cultural,ethical absolutism,providing a positive enlightenment on various civilizations and the issue of harmony and co-existence amongst cultural groups that have drawn attention in the context of global ethics.
