摘　　要：本文基于中英博士论文引言语料库,从功能层面探讨中国英语语言学专业博士论文引言中短语框架的使用特征。研究发现,语篇功能短语框架的大量使用受制于高度规约化的引言结构;在指示功能短语框架中,评述文献类框架常用于评价以往研究一致趋同的局限性并引出作者的单声评价;立场功能短语框架缺乏表达不同命题态度的多样化型式。笔者认为,在高水平学习者的英语学术写作教学中,应注重如何运用丰富的短语框架有效地发表学术声音和准确地传递认知立场。Corpus-based phraseological studies of EAP have observed that meaning does not primarily reside in words in isolation but frequency-driven multi-word combinations, the appropriate use of which constitutes an important component of fluent language production.While lexical bundles have been identified as recurrent continuous sequences with discernible functions to characterize a genre or a register,phrase frames(p-frames)have captured increasing attention and been recognized as discontinuous sequences in which fixed words surround a variable slot.P-frames are generalizations of lexical bundles and therefore provide insights into variability of lexico-grammatical patterns.However, p-frames seem to pose considerable challenges even to advanced learners in creating coherent texts,constructing knowledge system and signaling alternative voices in their speech communities.This paper explores the functions of pframes in the introduction section of doctoral dissertations in English linguistics by Chinese doctoral students in comparison with their English-speaking counterparts,aiming to find out the phraseological features and writing strategies employed by Chinese doctoral students.The starting point was an initial set of 4-gram p-frame candidates retrieved by kfNgram from two working corpora in view of standardized frequency,text range and variant diversity.The two working corpora, Dissertation Introductions by Chinese Ph.D.(DICP) and Dissertation Introductions by English Ph.D.(DIEP),respectively consisted of 73 dissertation introductions from C N KI database and 76 from PQ DT from 2010 to 2015.With the candidates manually filtered for structural and semantic completeness,the resulting 127 p-frames in DICP and 76 in DIEP were then categorized into referential, stance and discourse organizing functions for further analysis.C orpus data demonstrate that p-frames in DICP are primarily used for denoting generic structures or discoursal stages.The heavier reliance upon discourse organizing frames may result from the highly con
