摘　　要：In the novel Frankenstein, the creature “monster” has no name. He is called “monster” and “devil” since he wascreated. This paper explores the lack of monster’s identity, tracing monster’s identity chasing journey, to figure outlacking proper identity’s impact on the monster. From the analysis of monster’s identity, people are reminded toreconsider their responsibility and stereotypes when communicating with others.
