明代“驳查补造”赋役黄册考——以哈佛藏《韵学集成》等纸背文献为中心

摘　　要：美国哈佛藏《韵学集成》等古籍纸背文献中藏有比较特殊的“驳查补造”赋役黄册若干件。据之与上图藏纸背“驳查补造”赋役黄册比较发现,上图藏“驳查补造”赋役黄册系后湖管册官驳查后形成的后湖底册,而《韵学集成》等纸背“驳查补造”赋役黄册则是州县首次上交户部的赋役正册。《韵学集成》等纸背相关黄册反映出,后湖管册官驳查完成并非是黄册“驳查补造”的最后一步,当新一期大造之时驳查内容进入黄册之中,“驳查补造”方告完结。这一发现不仅丰富了前人关于“驳查补造”制度的认识,且为进一步认识明代黄册攒造及“驳查补造”的其他相关问题都提供了重要信息。Among the documents written on the paper covers of Yunxue Jicheng(韵学集成)as collected by Harvard-Yenching Library are several entries depicting the‘reinspection for supplementary registration’of yellow registers for taxation and labor recruitment.Through a comparison between these entries and those collected by Shanghai Library,it is found that the Shanghai Library version is a bound copy kept on file after the reinspection by a yellow registers official on islands of Lake Houhu,while the one collected by Harvard is a regular register first tendered by county officials.The yellow registers on the paper covers of Yunxue Jicheng(韵学集成)reflect the fact that they did not become finalized after reinspection by the yellow registers official on islands of Lake Houhu.Only when new registers were receptive to supplementary registration could the process of reinspection come to an end.This finding not only enriches the understanding of the system of reinspection for supplementary registration by previous scholars but also provides important information for further understanding of the yellow registers system in the Ming Dynasty and other issues related to reinspection of yellow registers for supplementary registration.
