摘　　要：《夏日》作为J.M.库切自传体三部曲中的最后一部,是一部多声部“复调小说”。《夏日》源于生活,但所讲述的故事又与现实之间形成了强大的张力,其在对话的过程中展示了创作的主观性与客观性,形成了结构上的“大型对话”。作品中隐秘的中产阶级、白鸟喷泉农庄里的“幸存者”以及来到南非的巴西移民等主人公,在非封闭式的对话中形成了“微型对话”,构成了多声部曲调的合奏。结构上的“大型对话”以及内容上的“微型对话”成为该作品的主要写作特点,也是库切借助叙事来表达创作理论的“元小说”代表。Written by John Maxwell Coetzee,Summertime is a polyphonic novel and also the last of his three autobiographical novels.Though originating from life,it creates a strong tension between the story and the reality and the creator's“subjectivity”and“objectivity”are shown in the writing.In the work,the micro-dialogue is composed in the dialogues between Vincent,the so called biographer,and his interviewees,among which,three women are analyzed in the article.They are Julia—a middle-class lady,Margot—the one who lives in the farm,and Adriana—an immigrant from Brazil to South Africa.The great dialogue in the structure and the micro-dialogue in the content are the main writing features of the work,which also represents Coetzee's narrative strategy of meta-fiction.
