天台山僧赞宁建六和塔治理钱塘江潮考

摘　　要：北宋初期佛教界唯一留有盛名的释赞宁,是天台山僧。释赞宁通内外典,工于诗文,是罕见的博物学家,还是治理钱塘江潮的水利学家。赞宁是六和塔的主要创建者之一,在建塔治潮中作用极大。他为治理钱塘江潮患建六和塔,建塔和修塘并举,高滩筑堤,建立水闸,创新发展,综合施策,取得显著效果,为后人效法。Zanning,a Tiantai monk,enjoyed great reputation in Buddhist Circle during early Northern Song Dynasty.He was not only a rare naturalist who skilled at historical records,poems,and proses,but a hydrographer who governed Qiantang River tide.Zanning was one of the main founders of Liuhe Pagoda,which played an important role in tide control.In order to control the tide,he constructed Liuhe Pagoda,built high beach embankment,and established sluice,achieving remarkable results for later generations to follow.
