Dam displacement was affected by many factors, and its monitoring sequence often presented obvious nonstationary.Based on the fractal theory, the V/S analysis method was applied to the long-range trend analysis of the dam displacement series, and the fractal characteristics and evolution law of the displacement series were analyzed. The intrinsic characteristics of time series of measuring points were quantitatively characterized by using Hurst index and fractal dimension. Therefore, the deformation behavior and safety status of the dam were evaluated accurately, and good results were achieved. The results show that although there are local fluctuations in the displacement series, the overall development trend is good, and has good memory and long-range correlation. The change of the future trend will be consistent with the past, and the development process will be durable. The displacement change is greatly affected by the deterministic factors, and the deformation is mainly linear elastic, accompanied by random characteristics. The displacement state of the measuring point is basically stable and tends to be stable. The research results can provide reference for the similar projects.
