摘　　要：《黔南苗蛮图说》是晚清贵州“苗蛮图”类文献中内容最丰富、考订最翔实、绘制最精美的作品。全书共收录晚清贵州八十六个“苗蛮”种类,并对其名称来历、地域分布、历史沿革、风俗民情等作了详细论述,具有民族学、民俗学、历史学研究的珍贵价值。但史籍中对该书作者桂馥的记载十分简略,以致学术研究中出现了一些盲点和疏误。文章根据新发现的史料,对桂馥的生卒时间和生平事迹作了初步考证,这对深入研究《黔南苗蛮图说》将不无裨益。Qian Nan Miao Man Tu Shuo is one of the most abundant,the most detailed and the most exquisite works in the Miao Man Tu literature of Guizhou in the late Qing dynasty.This book includes 86 categories of Guizhou“Miao Man”in the late Qing dynasty,and elaborates on their names,origins,geographical distribution,historical evolution,customs and folklores,etc.It has precious value in ethnology,folklore and history.However,the historical record of Gui Fu,the author of the book is very briefly recorded,leading to some blind spots and errors in the academic research.Based on the newly discovered historical materials,this paper makes a preliminary research on the time of Gui Fu’s birth and his life story,which will make contribution to the further study of Qian Nan Miao Man Tu Shuo.
