解弢《小说话》与民初小说批评的演进

摘　　要：解弢的《小说话》是第一部单行本小说话,在民初小说批评史上地位特殊,具有多重开创性意义。《小说话》超越当时常见的社会批评风气,其中关于小说技法方面的讨论别树一帜,多本色当行之论。它虽以传统话体形式编著而成,但其中关于小说演进的见解对于当今的小说史撰写仍有参考价值。此外,其中的中西小说比较批评目光锐利而又议论透辟,对比较文学学科的建设也具借鉴意义。《小说话》的开创性及其理论建树,昭示着传统文学批评的生命力在二十世纪初依然葆有蓬勃的生命力。Jie Tao's Fiction Notes,as the first separate edition published about novel criticism,occupied a unique place in the history of novel criticism in the early Republic of China,hence holding pioneering significance in multi-dimensions.It transcended the common social and political criticism at that time,and some discussions in it about art of fiction writing have become a separate school,tending to be more original and professional.Although compiled in traditional discourse and form,the book contains insights into the evolution of novels,which are still of great referential value to our contemporary compilation of the history of novels.Besides,it also comprises comparative study between Chinese and western novels,whose critical perspective of comparison is sharp and whose comments are penetrating,which is also of referential significance to the construction of the discipline of Comparative Literature.The pioneering spirit and theoretical achievements of Fiction Notes demonstrate that traditional literary criticism still held its vigorous vitality at the beginning of the 20th century.
