摘 要:本文报告中国英语学习者在口试配对讨论中的话轮转换行为研究。基于互动能力理论,研究对采录的30组会话语料进行话轮转换行为分析,涉及话轮机制和反馈应答两个方面。结果表明:除了少数几组外,大多数参与者的话轮转换机制不够活跃。具体表现为:话轮偏长,角色更迭较慢;反馈应答类型单一,而且使用频率低。在此机制下,他们产出的会话普遍呈现低合作、低互动特征。笔者认为,诸多因素,包括合作意识、话轮转换策略、互动模式、文化推崇会话方式及搭档之间性格差异等都会对中国学生的英语会话行为产生影响。研究结果对我国的英语口语教学和测试具有实践指导意义。This article reports a study on the turn-taking behaviour of Chinese EFL learners in paired-discussion speaking test.Data were collected by means of a mock English oral test,in which 60 Chinese students at university level were paired to complete a discussion task.Based on the interactional competence theory and under the framework of conversation analysis,the research analyses the turn-taking behaviour of the 30 dyadic conversations from two dimensions:turn-taking mechanism and listener response.The results show that,except for a few pairs,most of the participants do not adopt a dynamic turn-taking strategy,as evidenced by relatively longer turns,a comparatively slow-paced change of speakers,a lack of variety in listener response types and a low frequency of listener responses.With the turn-taking mechanism,most of the conversations created by the participants are featured with a low level of cooperation and a low degree of interaction.It is believed that many factors affect the turn-taking behaviour of Chinese EFL learners.The research has practical significance for the oral English teaching and testing in China.
