数字学术在布朗--北美大学图书馆的研究服务新趋向

摘　　要：近年来北美很多大学建立了数字人文学术中心,显示了在全球化信息时代的最新技术与人文科学相结合的新趋向.本文以布朗大学数字学术中心为典型实例,试通过对其发展的历程、组织建制、技术设施、运行机制、服务范围、研究手段、现状及成果等方面的简要考察,从历史文化与信息技术结合的角度对北美大学图书馆的数字学术发展、知识创新和研究服务与随之而来的新挑战、新机遇、新趋向进行初步的探讨和思考.In recent years there have been an increasing number of digital scholarship centers established in North American universities.Tbese centers manifest the new trend of incorporating the latest technologies with espeially humanistic research in our global information ag This paper uses Brown University as a case study.by investigating the history.organization。infrastructure.facilities operational mechanism.research tools,current status.and achievements of digital humanities scholarship at Brown.In the Brown University Library.the Center for Digital Scholarship combines information technology with mainly humanities to explore and reflect on the growth of digital scholarship.knowledge creation.and research services in North American academic libraries,along with the new challenges.new opportunities.and new trends that accompany them.
