摘 要:五四白话文运动是中国文学发生现代转型的重要契机,它一方面代表着在中国延续了数千年的封建文言文化主导地位的终结,一方面预示着中国文学在新的社会历史语境中开始自觉的现代性实践。然而,五四白话文运动并非突发性的文化思潮,而是晚清白话文运动的继续和深化,并在与文学守旧派的艰苦激烈论争中取得了压倒性胜利,自此,以提倡白话文为突破口的现代文学开始了新的文学话语秩序建构。The May 4 th vernacular movement is an important opportunity for Chinese literature to realize its modern transformation.On the one hand,it represents the end of the dominant position of feudal classical Chinese culture which has lasted for thousands of years in China,and on the other hand,it indicates the beginning of the conscious modernity practice of Chinese literature in the new social and historical context.However,the May 4 th vernacular movement was not a sudden cultural trend of thought,but a continuation and deepening of the vernacular movement in the late Qing dynasty,and it won an overwhelming victory in the bitter and fierce debate with the literary conservative school.After that,modern literature,which advocated vernacular as its breakthrough,began to construct the new literary discourse order.
