摘　　要：区域研究是一门具有交叉学科综合特征的学科。一战以来,美国出于国际战略需求逐渐形成了由私人基金会主导、政府部门及大学研究机构共同参与的区域研究运作机制。冷战热点在亚洲的凸显使得亚洲区域研究成为美国关注的焦点,美国亚洲区域研究具有体制化、规模化及国际网络化的鲜明特点。由于美国官-私-智体制的推动,美国亚洲区域研究更是具有塑造亚洲国家价值观的深层战略考量。Area studies refer to the comprehensive research with interdisciplinary characteristics.Due to the demand of American international strategy between the two world wars,American private foundations gradually played a leading role in formulating the institutionalized establishment of area studies based on the cooperation of private foundations,governmental organizations and academic institutions.With the aggravation of Cold War conflicts in Asia,Asian area studies became the focus of the aforementioned American trilateral institution.Asian area studies in America has had the characteristics of institutionalization,broad cooperation and international networking with a deeply-set objective of shaping the national values of Asian countries.
